From February 2026, individuals interested in further education in North Rhine-Westphalia will receive an ESF co-financed education voucher that covers 50% of the individual continuing education costs, up to a maximum of €500, as a grant. This funding offer is aimed at private individuals residing in North Rhine-Westphalia who are at least 18 years old and wish to expand their professional skills. The voucher strengthens qualification measures and sustainably secures the demand for skilled workers in the region. By financially contributing to course fees or seminar costs, participants have the opportunity to acquire new knowledge in a targeted manner and realize career steps without having to bear the full financial burden.

A prerequisite for funding is proof of an eligible continuing education measure as well as the submission of a complete application including a cost estimate or participation confirmation and bank details. Applications can be submitted from 01.02.2026 onwards via the corresponding form in the NRW funding portal. Only continuing education costs up to a maximum amount of €500 are eligible for funding. With a funding amount of up to €500 and an attractive rate of 50%, professional development is specifically promoted. This offer supports committed professionals on their path to new qualifications and contributes to strengthening the regional labor market.
