Description

The ESF Plus Skilled Workers and Continuing Education Directive supports companies, educational institutions, non-profit and public organizations in Thuringia in qualifying their employees as well as job seekers according to demand. Targeted measures in the areas of initial and continuing education, labor, and social affairs contribute to securing skilled workers and promoting social participation. Through continuous application opportunities, project start and duration can be flexibly adapted to operational and regional needs. The latest start date for funding object 2.1 is December 1, 2025, to set sustainable impulses for the Thuringian labor market.

SMEs and other organizations offering educational and qualification programs for various target groups are eligible for funding. A registered office or branch in Thuringia as well as proof of professional and organizational suitability are prerequisites. Evaluation is based on the contribution to securing skilled workers, transfer and sustainability potential, and implementation capability. As a grant, partial costs for the application form, project description, financing plan, and proof of suitability are covered. Organizations must submit complete documentation to apply for and successfully settle funding in accordance with the guidelines. Thus, the funding makes a significant contribution to closing competency gaps and strengthening regional potential to retain skilled workers in the state in the future.
