Sponsors of all sizes – public institutions, non-profit and private organizations, companies, educational institutions, interest groups, start-ups, and foundations – can submit project applications at any time. The funding is provided as a grant and covers personnel expenses, material costs, public relations expenses, and consulting fees. In the evaluation, innovation content, feasibility, sustainability aspects, and relevance to the target group play a central role.

A prerequisite for submitting an application is approval according to the ESF funding guideline 2021–2027, registration in the ABBA online procedure, and adherence to the schedules of ongoing project calls. Required documents include the ESF funding guideline, the current application form, a detailed financing plan, and a De-minimis declaration. The program offers flexible financing options for initiatives that promote equal opportunities and open up sustainable prospects for young people and disadvantaged groups. Interested sponsors can find all relevant information on calls and application documents on the pages of the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs NRW.
