Funding objective

Description

The open call is aimed at non-profit organizations, companies, educational institutions, and founders from the EU and focuses on the development of digital learning content on fair and climate-neutral food systems in Europe and Africa. Funding is provided for individual applications or consortia with up to three partners that translate innovative technologies and nutritional knowledge into interactive training materials. Up to €25,000 are available per project, with at least 60% of the budget allocated to applicants from African countries. A special emphasis is placed on gender-equitable project design and the active involvement of women in leadership roles. The funding period is 8 to 12 months with a funding rate of 100%.

The initiative connects researchers, agricultural enterprises, food producers, and start-up actors through practical courses and also grants scholarships for disadvantaged or vulnerable groups. Applications must be submitted exclusively by email and include all required documents – including project description, financial plan, and third-party evidence. Evaluation criteria include the degree of innovation, involvement of African partners, contribution to gender equality, and relevance to a sustainable value chain. The submission deadline is March 2, 2026, 11:59 PM.
