Description
Since February 1, 2024, European funding has supported diverse integration initiatives in Vienna, implemented by the Austrian Federal Chancellery in cooperation with non-profit and public institutions. The grants in the form of subsidies enable international projects that provide migrants and refugees with access to education, counseling, and social participation. Through close cooperation with partner organizations outside the federal administration, a network is created that leverages synergies and establishes innovative concepts for peaceful, secure, and equitable coexistence. Applications can be submitted at any time, as there is no application deadline.
Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations and public institutions that implement integration measures in partnership with the Federal Chancellery. A prerequisite for funding is the awarding of a grant by the EU Commission as well as the execution of projects in the thematic areas of migration, social cohesion, democracy, labor, and social affairs. The goal is to build sustainable structures that promote language skills, intercultural encounters, and social integration. Through a gender-neutral and inclusive approach, all participants – from coordinators to attendees – are empowered and motivated to contribute to shaping a diversity-conscious coexistence. This continuously available funding opportunity makes a decisive contribution to strengthening the integration architecture in Austria.
