Europe Prize of the State of Carinthia

The Europe Prize of the State of Carinthia honors outstanding academic theses (bachelor’s, diploma/master’s, dissertation) that examine European issues in the context of the federal state. As an award in the fields of research & innovation, science, as well as education and training, the prize supports those final projects that convince through excellent scientific quality, a clear connection to European topics, and particular significance for Carinthia. The continuously awarded prizes recognize innovative approaches that analyze the role and impact of European developments on regional society, economy, and politics, thereby making a valuable contribution to regional research.

Eligibility and Requirements: Participants must be students at universities, universities of applied sciences, or teacher training colleges with a strong Carinthian connection (e.g., main residence, place of study, or school graduation in Carinthia). Only completed theses from the aforementioned study programs may be submitted. Evaluation criteria include scientific quality, European relevance, and significance for the federal state. The only application document required is the complete, finalized thesis. The award encourages further scientific engagement with Europe–Carinthia relations and can serve as a valuable impetus for future career paths or doctoral studies.
