Description
The European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) 2021–2027 continuously offers grant opportunities in Berlin to strengthen social and economic cohesion. Eligible for funding are public institutions, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, as well as private companies based or operating in Berlin. In thematic calls, measures can be submitted that focus on labor market opportunities, qualification, and social inclusion. Special support is provided for projects targeting job seekers and long-term unemployed individuals, low-skilled adults, refugees, and young professionals. The objective is to cover funding needs that cannot be realized solely through federal, state, or district funds, while simultaneously improving access to vocational training, further education, and employment.
The funding objectives include combating unemployment, promoting equal opportunities, and social participation of disadvantaged groups. Educational institutions, welfare associations, and municipal agencies can make a significant contribution with their projects in vocational qualification, language promotion, integration, and social inclusion. Applicants must ensure that their projects are implemented in Berlin and address the thematic priorities of work, education & training, and social affairs. The continuous submission of applications in designated funding rounds ensures flexible access. Interested project sponsors receive comprehensive information on funding instruments, selection criteria, and public relations from the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Enterprises of the State of Berlin, which, as the responsible granting authority, assumes economic policy management and advisory functions.
