The goal is to strengthen a communal spirit of the “honorable merchant” and to prepare students for a responsible role in business and society. As a sponsorship initiative, the program is continuously available and offers an ideal platform to develop skills and personal strength within a European top university network.
Under the umbrella of the European Haniel Program, the University of St. Gallen, Copenhagen Business School, Leuphana University of Lüneburg, Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia, and Université Paris-Dauphine work closely together. With its interdisciplinary approach, the program combines management education with humanities and social science perspectives. In addition to intensive workshops and specialist lectures in Berlin, the offering includes trans-European and transatlantic networking opportunities for faculty and researchers. A prerequisite for funding is enrollment as a student or doctoral candidate at a partner university as well as successful selection by the Haniel Foundation.
