Description

The transnational call “One Health Anti-Microbial Resistance – Joint Transnational Call 2026” funds innovative research and innovation projects aimed at combating antimicrobial resistance within the framework of the One Health approach. Multidisciplinary consortia from human, veterinary, and plant medicine as well as environmental sciences jointly contribute to developing novel combination therapies, extending the efficacy of existing antimicrobial agents, and improving treatment adherence. Additionally, methods for assessing transmission risks between humans, animals, plants, and the environment are established to provide robust evidence for policy decisions. With an estimated total budget of over €31 million and a maximum project duration of 36 months, this funding offers a unique opportunity to combine scientific excellence with societal benefit.

Eligible participants include educational institutions, non-profit organizations, companies, and public bodies from multiple countries, who apply via an English-language pre-proposal and—upon successful pre-selection—a full proposal on the official online platform. A prerequisite is the close involvement of relevant end users as well as compliance with formal requirements regarding personnel, material and laboratory expenses, travel costs, and publications. Evaluation is based on the criteria of Excellence, Impact, and Implementation, with each dimension weighted equally. Submission and review follow a two-stage procedure with formal checks and peer review, accompanied by an ethics assessment in the second phase. The program is aimed at all those who wish to jointly advance sustainable solutions against antimicrobial resistance across the European region.
