The focus is on initiatives that promote sustainable agriculture and rural development in partnership with selected regions and provide development policy impulses. The provision of significant funding sums is intended to enable experienced development policy organizations to plan and implement projects effectively, thereby contributing to the improvement of living conditions in the partner regions.

Only non-profit organizations based in Vienna that demonstrate proven expertise in international development cooperation in accordance with the EZA Act and meet the criteria of the funding guideline are eligible for funding.
