Professional Association Funding

The specialist association funding in Carinthia is aimed at regionally active sports associations with their club headquarters in the state of Carinthia and specifically supports the administrative expenses of these elected representatives of the sports clubs. Through a flat-rate grant for administrative costs, the program contributes to strengthening the organizational structures in grassroots and youth sports. At the same time, voluntary work in sports clubs is promoted to ensure a sustainable embedding of sports in the everyday culture of the people of Carinthia. The specialist associations act as a central interface between the clubs and decision-makers in politics and administration and make a decisive contribution to the coordination, quality assurance, and further development of sports offerings.

Applications have been possible since October 8, 2025, and are accepted without a fixed submission deadline until the funding volume is exhausted. Only costs for administrative activities incurred within the scope of association work are eligible for funding. The Office of the Carinthian State Government, Department 6 – Education and Sports, is responsible for supervising and coordinating the procedure: it provides all necessary forms and guidelines and informs about funding requirements as well as the legal basis according to the Carinthian Sports Act.
