Transportation Services for People with Disabilities

The funding program "Transport Services for People with Disabilities" of the State of Carinthia supports providers of fully and semi-institutional residential and employment services in implementing barrier-free mobility offerings. Within the framework of a grant-funded model, transportation costs by contracted bus companies are subsidized, as well as transport services using the buses of the supervising institution. Additionally, subsidies for mileage allowances for occasional student free rides and the deployment of accompanying personnel are among the eligible services. Eligible to apply are companies and public institutions that transport people with disabilities in accordance with §§ 10, 11, and 13 K-ChG. The program is continuously open, allowing flexible responses to mobility needs.

To submit an application, an informal application must be submitted to the Office of the Carinthian State Government (Department 4). Invoices from the executing bus companies as well as a detailed route plan must be attached. Billing is carried out based on the tariff sheet "Mileage Rates for Student Free Rides in Occasional Transport," and a factual invoice review ensures the correct grant amount. Thanks to the continuously available subsidy framework, providers can plan at short notice and sustainably reduce mobility barriers. The transparent procedure creates a reliable basis to further strengthen the participation of people with disabilities in social life in Carinthia.
