Description

The Federal Family Support Guidelines enable nationwide non-profit associations and organizations to implement innovative family policy projects. The aim of the funding is to create a family-friendly environment in which families can develop according to their individual ideas. Initiatives in the areas of family association work, education, and counseling that provide impetus for local and supraregional networks are supported. With grants for publications, working materials, special events, or competitions, the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth supports the development of sustainable structures and the visibility of diverse life models.

Eligible to apply are primarily federal family associations with at least seven state associations (including two in the new federal states), as well as nationwide active providers of family education, family counseling, and all other non-profit institutions with a family policy mandate. Requirements include independent management, responsible use of funds, and a democratically elected association leadership. The amount of funding depends on the type and scope of the measure and is granted as a subsidy. Applications can be submitted at the beginning of each fiscal year. This allows interested parties to plan their projects in a timely manner and submit them for funding in order to set long-term effective impulses for a family-friendly society.
