Description

Family policy funding in Carinthia offers flexible project and subsidy support for associations, institutions, natural and legal persons, as well as non-profit organizations. The aim is to support families with special needs, implement parenting education measures, and promote intergenerational initiatives. Additionally, companies certified under the "Work and Family" audit receive subsidies to cover their project costs. Applications can be submitted continuously and have been open without a fixed end date since 01.01.2014. Grants are awarded as lump-sum subsidies, with the amount at the discretion of the responsible officers. Decisions on project funding are made on a case-by-case basis.

Eligible for funding are associations, other institutions, natural and legal persons, as well as non-profit organizations. For companies, in addition to a written, informal application and the subsidy declaration, certification under the "Work and Family" audit is a prerequisite. Application documents include, besides the informal request and subsidy declaration, a detailed project description as well as evidence of the proper use of funds (original receipts). Prior to disbursement, a legally binding commitment to the economical and appropriate use of funds must be submitted. This combination of a low-threshold application process and clearly defined usage rules enables initiatives of all sponsoring forms to implement innovative family policy models in Carinthia and establish them sustainably.
