Description

Since 1989, the Manfred Vetter Foundation for Art and Culture has been specifically supporting youth work in disaster protection with the international CTIF Vetter Cup and, since 2001, with the DJF National Vetter Cup. As challenge trophies made of sterling silver, both awards honor outstanding achievements in international CTIF competitions as well as within the framework of the German Youth Fire Brigade. In addition to these symbolic awards, cash prizes totaling up to approximately €17,000 per competition are granted. This recognition at the national and international level aims to acknowledge the commitment of young people in the fire service and to promote cohesion as well as professional excellence.

Eligible for funding are all youth fire brigade memberships in CTIF or the German Youth Fire Brigade that qualify through their placement in the respective competition. The funding is provided as a prize and award, with the ranking directly determining the amount of the prize. There is no separate application deadline, as registration follows the official dates of the CTIF competitions or the DJF contests. Thus, this program offers an ongoing funding opportunity for clubs and associations throughout the entire federal territory. The founder thereby sets a sign for team spirit, professional competence, and the importance of social responsibility among young people in the field of disaster protection.
