FILINA – I Love Singing for Your Life!

The project FILINA – I love singing for your life! by the Ruck – Foundation for Renewal targets families in Berlin and Brandenburg and invites parents and children to discover new sound worlds through joint singing and making music. In specially designed music workshops, qualified music educators provide creative guidance to strengthen intergenerational togetherness and promote the joy of musical expression. By combining improvisation, traditional songs, and playful elements, social skills, emotional bonds, and language development are equally supported. As a continuously offered grant, FILINA enables flexible project planning in local family centers and creates low-threshold participation opportunities for all interested parties.

Funding is provided to private individuals who wish to integrate their family centers into the program, addressing the thematic areas of music, culture, children and youth, as well as work & social affairs. Applications can be submitted at any time—there is no fixed deadline. Participants benefit from extensive professional advice regarding conception and implementation and can draw on a network of cooperation partners such as the Parent-Child Meeting Oranienburg, the Pestalozzi-Fröbel-Haus at Mehringdamm, and other initiatives. The grant covers fees for music educators and finances materials, enabling joint singing and music-making in a familiar environment to be implemented smoothly. Thus, FILINA not only promotes early musical education but also strengthens cultural participation in families and makes a valuable contribution to local community development.
