Description
The Emsland Foundation for Work and Family supports private individuals, companies, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and public bodies in the Emsland region with financial grants to improve the compatibility of work and family life, promote gender equality, and strengthen early childhood education as well as vocational training, further education, and professional development. Based nationwide and in Lower Saxony, the foundation enables project-based funding for all company sizes and legal forms in the areas of children and youth, women's advancement, training & education, social affairs, and work & social issues. Applications can be submitted at any time; eligible costs include, among others, personnel expenses, material and training costs, as well as consulting fees. In its selection, the jury considers the alignment with the foundation’s purpose, the sustainability and impact of the project, and the extent of the applicant’s own contribution. Only projects with a direct connection to the Emsland district are funded.
For the application, a fully completed funding application must be submitted, supplemented by a project description, a financing and schedule plan, proof of the institution or sponsoring body, bank details, and a curriculum vitae of the project management. Essential funding requirements include proof of the project’s relevance to Emsland and a clearly defined thematic focus within one of the specified funding areas. Through financial support, the foundation enables a sustainable improvement of family-friendliness at the place of residence or work, promotes equal opportunities, and contributes to the qualification of skilled and managerial personnel.
