Description

The Wüstenrot Foundation supports non-profit organizations and public law entities in Baden-Württemberg and nationwide with grants for outstanding project ideas in the fields of research & innovation, building and monument preservation, education, culture, infrastructure & urban development, vocational training, as well as culture & media. Applicants can submit funding requests of up to €25,000 at any time via the digital form; for higher amounts, the deadlines are December 15, March 1, August 1, and October 1. The support aims to realize cultural assets, educational initiatives, and research projects and is based on close alignment with the Foundation’s funding principles. Material, travel, and rental costs are taken into account, as well as advertising, personal fees, and fees for third parties. Measures on monuments built before 1900, projects already started or completed, private individual projects, student film productions, sports and entertainment events, as well as study, class, and holiday trips are not considered.

A prerequisite for funding is the submission of a short description of no more than 1,200 characters, a detailed project description (including schedule and timeline), and a detailed cost and financing plan. A current exemption notice confirms the tax-privileged status of the applicants. Selection is based on alignment with the funding principles, the quality of the project description, and relevance to the target themes of monuments, future issues, urban and rural areas, literature, art & culture, and education. A foundation-internal committee decides within three months of application receipt. Successful project leaders receive a funding agreement and are obliged to provide written proof of use and results. In this way, the Wüstenrot Foundation sustainably contributes to the care and preservation of social and cultural resources.
