Description
The JAWA Next funding supports non-profit organizations in Vienna in implementing educational and mentoring measures aimed at the labor market integration of young people aged 15 to 21 with refugee and migration backgrounds. The program is subsidized by the Vienna Employees Promotion Fund (waff) and is valid from 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2026. The goal is to specifically prepare young asylum beneficiaries, subsidiary protection beneficiaries, and other youth with migration backgrounds for vocational training and to assist them in securing suitable apprenticeships. Through practice-oriented course modules and individual support, the participants' action competence is strengthened and their chances on the Vienna apprenticeship market are sustainably improved.
The measure includes full-day educational offerings such as language and technical language instruction, vocational mathematics, career orientation, as well as digital and social skills. Additionally, open application workshops, skills training, individual coaching, and practical internships provide practical preparation. Mentors from business and society accompany the youth throughout the entire process. A funding prerequisite is an offer for asylum and subsidiary protection beneficiaries registered with AMS Vienna as well as youth with migration backgrounds, and project-compliant implementation according to the funding agreement. Application documents include a detailed project description and a financial plan. The applicant organization receives funding based on the actual incurred costs up to the maximum amount specified in the funding agreement. Interested non-profit providers can find further details in the Federal Transparency Portal under reference number 1070960.
