FISAplus

FISAplus is a nationwide film funding program initiated by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Economy (BMAW) and administered by Austria Wirtschaftsservice Gesellschaft mbH (aws). It targets film production and production service companies with headquarters or business premises in Austria and supports both international service productions in cinema, TV, and streaming as well as Austrian film and series projects for TV and streaming. The grant amounts to 30% of eligible expenses incurred in Austria, supplemented by a “Green Bonus” of an additional 5% for implementing sustainability measures. The maximum funding amount is up to €5 million for feature films and up to €7.5 million for series, with all production costs – from shooting through post-production to service and production services – being considered.

Applications can be submitted from September 1, 2025, until August 30, 2026. The procedure follows a first-come, first-served principle; applications are evaluated in the order of receipt. To apply, a project description, financing plan and cost breakdown, proof of headquarters or business premises in Austria, as well as a script or treatment must be submitted. FISAplus aims not only to provide economic stimulus but also to sustainably strengthen the international attractiveness of Austria as a film location.
