FISAplus

FISAplus is a nationwide funding program of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism (BMWET), aimed at supporting international service productions in cinema, TV, and streaming, as well as Austrian films and series for TV and streaming. Eligible for funding are companies in the film industry with a registered office or place of business in Austria. With a non-repayable grant amounting to 30% of eligible expenses and an additional Green Bonus of 5%, sustainable Green Filming is promoted. By combining creativity and technical expertise, FISAplus makes a significant contribution to strengthening the Austrian film location and attracts renowned international productions that wish to carry out service work and filming here.

Applications via the aws Fördermanager are possible from January 2, 2026, 12:00 PM. The first-come-first-served procedure ensures timely decisions on funding commitments. For feature films, funding amounts of up to 5 million euros are granted; for series projects, up to 7.5 million euros are available. A prerequisite for funding is proof of eligible expenses in Austria as well as compliance with the funding guidelines. The average processing time is about six weeks, providing production companies with early planning security. FISAplus thus opens up an attractive financing framework that places innovative projects and sustainable production practices equally at the center – a strong impetus for the development of creative and successful film and series projects in Austria.
