Description
Within the framework of the ESF+ funding period 2021–2027, the Free State of Bavaria supports disadvantaged young people with the aim of facilitating their entry into professional life. Companies, public institutions, as well as private individuals offering vocational training in a recognized training occupation according to BBiG or HwO receive a monthly subsidy of EUR 260, up to a maximum of EUR 5,720. The support extends over a period of up to 22 months and compensates for the additional effort involved in supervising trainees with deficits in education, qualifications, or social skills. This ensures that all potentials are given a fair chance and sustainably strengthens the securing of skilled workers.
A prerequisite for funding is a business or branch office in Bavaria as well as a training relationship that began no earlier than August 1, 2022. Trainees must not have exceeded the age of 25 on the start date and must have a training contract. A co-payment by the training company for the non-funded expenses is mandatory. The electronic application must be submitted via the ESF Bavaria 2021 portal no later than three months after the start of training. The approval of the grant is the responsibility of the Center Bavaria Family and Social Affairs. In this way, training companies can reduce barriers and specifically support young people who face difficulties in the training market due to their life situation or school qualifications.
