Zentrum Bayern Familie und Soziales (ZBFS)
About the funder
The Zentrum Bayern Familie und Soziales (ZBFS) is the central state authority within the portfolio of the Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Labour and Social Affairs. With its headquarters in Bayreuth and seven regional offices in all seven Bavarian administrative districts, the ZBFS serves as the contact point for a wide range of social benefits. These include, among others, parental allowance, Bavarian family and nursery allowance, benefits for people with disabilities (severely disabled ID card, assessment procedures, inclusion office), social compensation, as well as the promotion of civic engagement and family recreation. The authority is responsible for the implementation of legal provisions, processes applications, provides advice by phone and on-site, and offers important information and online tools.
