Description
The Butchery Funding Program of the State of Upper Austria supports small butcher businesses with significant investment projects during the period from 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2026. The aim of this initiative is the modernization and sustainable safeguarding of local artisanal structures through non-repayable grants (De minimis aid) for material expenses. Funding is provided particularly for construction measures as well as the acquisition of operational and business equipment that contribute to strengthening competitiveness and quality standards. The funding thus actively promotes innovation, energy efficiency, and regional supply of high-quality meat and sausage products.
Eligible applicants are companies with a valid trade license to operate a butchery, employing no more than 15 full-time equivalent employees at the investment location and operating a maximum of seven sites. Applications can be submitted during the funding period from 01.01.2026 to 31.12.2026. Eligible expenses include material investments in buildings and operational as well as business equipment. The application must be accompanied by the “Butchery Funding Guidelines 2024–2026” (PDF) and the “Invoice Summary (LWLD-Wi/E-11a).” These documents transparently outline detailed requirements and proof obligations. Interested businesses thus receive structured support for their modernization projects and simultaneously benefit from financial relief to ensure long-term market viability.
