The project “New Neighbors” of the Diakonie Foundation “Charity in Einbeck” has been promoting voluntary engagement for refugees in Einbeck and the surrounding area since 2022. The goal is the coordinated placement of volunteers with newly arrived individuals to establish a sustainable culture of welcome. Participants receive support with everyday tasks, social counseling, as well as practical training sessions. Additionally, a central meeting point offers space for encounters, conversations, and joint activities.
