Funding Program for Energy and Environment

Funding Program for Energy and Environment is aimed at companies and private individuals based or with project locations in Berlin who wish to invest in a climate-friendly future. Measures supported include the energy-efficient renovation of residential and non-residential buildings, the preparation of energy assessments and consulting, as well as the acquisition of sustainable production facilities, electric vehicles, and charging infrastructure. The Investitionsbank Berlin continuously grants subsidies at attractive levels, which can be flexibly combined with other funding programs. The goal is to increase energy efficiency, utilize renewable energies, and promote climate-friendly production and mobility solutions. Thus, the program makes a direct contribution to climate and environmental protection and supports Berlin on its path to climate neutrality.

Interested project sponsors include in particular landlords, investors, owner-occupiers, homeowners’ associations, as well as companies with concrete projects in the areas of building renovation, energy consulting, sustainable production, or mobility. Applications can be submitted at any time, and registration in the customer portal facilitates digital application submission. Only expenses for individual and comprehensive energy measures, assessments, production facilities, as well as vehicles and charging stations are eligible for funding. Proof of the project location in Berlin is a prerequisite. This support opens up the opportunity to reduce energy costs in the long term, lower the CO₂ footprint, and simultaneously benefit from subsidized funding.
