Funding Application – Art and Culture Foundation of Sparkasse Dachau

Since 2004, the Kunst und Kultur Foundation of Sparkasse Dachau has supported charitable projects in the fields of art, culture, and monument preservation in the city and district of Dachau with an endowment of €1 million. Tax-privileged associations, educational and research institutions, as well as public institutions with headquarters and project implementation on site, may submit applications at any time. The foundation board usually decides twice a year on the awarding of grants, which serve to sustainably strengthen the regional cultural landscape and achieve lasting public impact. Funding is provided for individual projects as well as long-term initiatives with an innovative approach, high public benefit, and broad impact in the thematic areas of culture, buildings and monument preservation, science, culture & media, infrastructure & urban development, as well as research & innovation.

Requirements for a successful application include the applicant’s charitable status, the initiation and implementation of the project in the city or district of Dachau, and the permanent securing of overall financing. Results must be accessible to the general public. Submission must include a completed funding application, a current certificate of charitable status, a detailed cost breakdown, and a financing plan. Selection is based on the criteria of innovation, sustainability, and public benefit. Upon positive decision, funds are disbursed on demand according to project progress. Through targeted project funding, the foundation sets new cultural accents and contributes to Dachau’s growing prominence as a cultural center in Bavaria.
