Funding – European Partnerships (District of Lower Franconia)

The Unterfranken district supports municipal and civil society initiatives in Bavaria that promote cross-border dialogues and projects through the “Funding – European Partnerships” program. Eligible for funding are public institutions, non-profit organizations, interest groups, and other associations based in the Unterfranken district. The aim of the funding is to sustainably strengthen European exchange as well as commitment to social cohesion, democracy, education, work, and social concerns. Grants are provided for exchange programs, cooperation projects, and networking activities, benefiting both established partnerships and newly planned initiatives. Financing is offered as an ongoing funding opportunity without fixed submission deadlines, thus providing flexibility in project planning.

Interested parties are primarily municipalities, associations, and other civil society actors in the Unterfranken district who maintain existing or new partnerships with European partners. A prerequisite for funding is proof of an existing or planned European partnership as well as proof of the association’s seat in the district. Funds are awarded as direct grants that can be used to cover travel expenses, event organization, public relations, and other project-related costs. Through continuous application opportunities, the program offers the chance to implement ideas promptly and establish sustainable long-term networks. This funding offer makes an important contribution to embedding the Unterfranken region more strongly in the European context and promoting intercultural dialogue locally.
