Funding Opportunities of the Rohrmeisterei Schwerte Citizens' Foundation

Since 1999, the Bürgerstiftung Rohrmeisterei Schwerte has continuously supported cultural, social, and democracy-related projects in North Rhine-Westphalia. In the listed Pump Station Rohrmeisterei, non-profit associations, interest groups, cultural initiatives, and committed individuals are supported with financial grants. Funding areas include engagement for social cohesion, culture and media, youth and child work, as well as social initiatives. The foundation's goal is to enable special events such as youth theater projects, exhibitions, and civic actions in Schwerte and the surrounding area, and to strengthen cultural exchange locally. Public funding is provided without fixed deadlines: applications can be submitted at any time, thus supporting both spontaneous and long-term projects equally.

Eligible to apply are project sponsors based or active in Schwerte or the surrounding area who can demonstrate their non-profit status or cultural objectives and show initiative in carrying out the project. The application process is kept straightforward to quickly provide a financial basis for creative ideas. Targeted grants are intended especially to strengthen youth theater groups, art associations, and socially oriented initiatives. Committed project leaders thus have the opportunity to implement their concepts in a historic setting and contribute to the regional common good. Interested project partners are encouraged to submit their proposals and, together with the Bürgerstiftung Rohrmeisterei Schwerte, sustainably enrich the cultural life of the region.
