Description
The funding program "Supporting Memberships of the State of Salzburg" aims to sustainably support associations, interest groups, and non-profit organizations based or active in Salzburg. It is directed at those institutions in which the State of Salzburg holds co-determination rights due to membership and which are engaged in the areas of social cohesion, regional development, labor & social affairs, as well as agriculture & rural development. Contributions exceeding the usual membership fees are considered basic funding and are supported through an annual grant. The funding has been available indefinitely since December 2, 2013, and can be applied for without fixed submission deadlines.
A prerequisite for the grant is that the funding purpose serves the public interest, is clearly defined in measurable terms, and could not be realized without public funds. The requested amount may only cover the absolutely necessary scope to achieve the funding objective. Applicants must submit, in addition to statutes or bylaws, a financing plan including total costs, own funds, and already committed third-party funds, and agree to provide access and proof of use. Furthermore, data protection declarations in accordance with § 8 DSG 2000 must be provided. EU competition and state aid law must be observed. The administration is carried out by Department 8 at the Office of the Salzburg State Government, ensuring a transparent and legally compliant funding process.
