Description
The 2026 Lausitz Brown Coal Foundation Award honors non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and public entities committed to environmental and nature conservation, education, and sustainable development in Brandenburg, Saxony, as well as in adjacent regions of Poland and the Czech Republic. With a total prize fund of €20,000, the Foundation recognizes projects and initiatives that strengthen the Lausitz region as an attractive and future-proof living space through innovative approaches to energy efficiency, climate protection, and vocational or continuing education. The prize money is exclusively available to non-profit projects submitted by July 1, 2026, that achieve a sustainable impact in the region.
Application documents include the official application form as well as a detailed project description outlining objectives, participants, and planned activities.
