Description

Since 2001, the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation Brandenburg e.V. has annually awarded young scientists, authors, and artists up to 35 years of age whose unpublished journalistic, scientific, or artistic works enrich political, scientific, and cultural educational work. The grant prize includes a cash award of €500 as well as coverage of printing costs for publications up to 250 pages or an equivalent production subsidy for artistic projects. Additionally, the awardees receive 20 free copies and are honored at a public event on the topic of their work. This supports outstanding contributions characterized by a high level of expertise, critical engagement with current issues, and an analysis in the spirit of Rosa Luxemburg.

Eligible to apply are individuals aged no older than 35 at the time of submission, whose works are in the German language (for Lower Sorbian, a German-language version is required). The submitted contributions should reflect an orientation towards Rosa Luxemburg’s “interventionist thinking” and critically examine social realities. The application must include the work as a file, an exposé on content, objectives, and methodology, at least one review or reference, and a brief curriculum vitae. The deadline for the next round is November 30, 2026. The Foundation warmly invites all interested parties to submit their innovative projects and thereby contribute to a stimulating public debate.
