Description
The FamilyBande Foundation’s Sponsorship Award annually honors non-profit organizations and public institutions throughout Germany that demonstrate exceptional commitment to siblings of chronically ill or disabled children. Awarded are programs that have been conducted at least once during the application year—whether in the form of sibling days, multi-day workshops, or ongoing networking formats. The focus lies on three central evaluation criteria: the quality of networking efforts, the involvement and support of parents, and innovative approaches that sustainably promote the experience and empowerment of the siblings. As a prize and recognition format, the FamilyBande Foundation emphasizes the high value of solidarity and resilience in child- and family-oriented projects. The recurring call for applications allows institutions to continuously develop and introduce new impulses.
Eligible to participate are all non-profit associations, foundations, specialist and educational institutions that have conducted at least one accompanying program for siblings of chronically ill or disabled children during the current year. Submissions are accepted once annually; exact deadlines are announced on the FamilyBande Foundation’s website. A distinguished jury honors the best submissions with financial grants and public recognition to strengthen networking and parental support as well as to advance innovative project ideas. Interested organizations can apply in creative ways and thus contribute to the exchange within the nationwide professional community. The Sponsorship Award highlights remarkable initiatives that, through commitment and creativity, make an important contribution to supporting sibling children.
