The Paul Spiegel Vocational College Foundation – Foundation for Understanding Democracy and Tolerance continuously awards a sponsorship prize to committed individuals, groups, and institutions from the Emscher-Lippe region who demonstrate outstanding dedication to understanding democracy and tolerance. This award recognizes creative project ideas and sustainable educational initiatives that contribute to strengthening social cohesion and reducing prejudice. The prize is equally aimed at private individuals, non-profit organizations, public institutions, companies, interest groups, as well as other associations that have their sphere of influence anchored in North Rhine-Westphalia and can demonstrate exemplary commitment.

The aim of the sponsorship prize is to significantly support educational and upbringing efforts in the region and to provide a platform for exchanging forward-looking concepts.
