Projects that implement inclusive approaches in the fields of sports, art, and culture and thereby contribute to social participation are supported.

Description
The funding program Encounter, Culture and Sport by Aktion Mensch e.V. is aimed nationwide at non-profit organizations that want to implement inclusive projects in the areas of culture, social affairs, sports, children and youth, culture & media, as well as work & social affairs. The initiative supports projects that assist people with disabilities, as well as children, youth, and individuals facing particular social challenges. With a grant of up to €350,000 and a maximum project duration of 60 months, the program offers attractive financial support for the implementation of innovative concepts that strengthen inclusive cohesion in society. The focus is on creating meeting spaces and barrier-free facilities as well as expanding creative and sporting offerings.
The main objective of the funding is to sustainably improve the living conditions of the target groups by enabling inclusive measures for cultural participation and sporting activities. Eligible costs include personnel expenses, fees, material costs, investments, and also costs for creating accessibility. A prerequisite for application is proof of the involvement of people with disabilities, children and youth, as well as socially disadvantaged groups, and compliance with the funding criteria of Aktion Mensch. Additionally, applicants must submit a detailed financing plan showing own funds amounting to at least 10% of the eligible costs. The possibility to submit applications continuously allows for flexible and needs-oriented implementation of inclusive projects.
