Funding Program of CHILDREN Youth Helps!

The funding program CHILDREN Youth Helps! supports children and young people aged 6 to 21 nationwide who engage in social, political, or ecological causes through their own initiatives. The program is aimed at individuals and offers a grant of up to €2,500 per project to implement self-responsible ideas into concrete actions. A qualified jury evaluates the submitted applications several times a year, enabling timely funding. The continuous application process allows committed young people to continuously advance their projects and gain valuable experience in social engagement.

This grant program aims to identify social issues and actively initiate solutions. Particular emphasis is placed on voluntary and self-initiated project work as well as the sustainable impact of the measures. Children and young people can thus not only expand their personal skills but also contribute to cohesion and democratic participation in their social environment. Eligible expenses primarily include fees and material costs, ensuring needs-based support for project work.

Furthermore, the program provides a platform where young project leaders can present outstanding projects as part of an annual competition. The eight most promising initiatives are rewarded with participation in a five-day engagement camp in Berlin, featuring workshops on topics such as project management, fundraising, and public relations. This additional format offers space for networking, further education, and inspiration through exchange with other committed young people from across Germany. Overall, CHILDREN Youth Helps! is dedicated to ensuring that their initiatives not only immediately improve the living conditions of their target groups but also provide long-term impulses for a self-determined and diverse social coexistence.
