Interested organizations may submit their applications informally and throughout the year via email. A prerequisite for a successful application is the submission of meaningful documentation—including a one-page management summary, a detailed project description with justification, a well-founded budget plan, and proof of nonprofit status. The foundation points out that certain expenses, such as pure new construction or renovation measures as well as events with a festival character, are not eligible for funding. Decisions are usually made in March and October, allowing projects to be included in funding promptly.
