Funding Program of the Hans-Joachim Kaps Foundation (Vocational and Further Training in Metal Trade)

The Hans-Joachim Kaps Foundation supports professional qualification in the metal trade through targeted training and continuing education measures with its funding program. Nationwide seminars and workshops impart specialized know-how that is essential for sustainable raw material supply and the improvement of production, trade, and recycling processes. In addition to the event series, the Foundation strengthens the Junior Support Program of the Association of German Metal Traders (Verband Deutscher Metallhändler e. V.), which has existed since 1965, thereby creating a platform for interdisciplinary exchange among ambitious young professionals. The goal is to sharpen the versatile profile of young metal traders and to improve their long-term prospects in the industry.

Eligible for funding are private individuals who are organized within the Association of German Metal Traders (Verband Deutscher Metallhändler e. V.) and have not yet reached the age of 35. The grant is intended to particularly support talented young professionals in the metal trade in participating in supraregional advanced training opportunities. Applications can be submitted continuously; there is no deadline. With this, the Foundation relies on uninterrupted support for motivated metal traders to sustainably secure knowledge transfer between experienced experts and the young professional community and to strengthen the future viability of the industry.
