Funding Project "WiDo 34" (Residential-Care-Nursing Community)

The Förderstiftung Lebensgemeinschaft Wickersdorf supports the construction and planning of a barrier-free, intergenerational residential-care-nursing home in Wickersdorf, Thuringia, through the project "WiDo 34." Funding is provided for planning costs as well as construction costs for a modern multi-generational house with 16 places, which offers permanent care to people with physical, mental, or psychological impairments in their familiar living environment. As a non-profit foundation, the Förderstiftung Lebensgemeinschaft Wickersdorf provides the necessary grants to create the infrastructural and social framework conditions for a self-determined and supported way of life. The focus is on the combined use of residential, care, and nursing spaces to promote an integrated community and ensure interdisciplinary care services on site.

Interested non-profit organizations may submit applications at any time to secure their project planning or specific construction projects in the social and infrastructural sector. The target group exclusively comprises individuals who are already members of the Lebensgemeinschaft Wickersdorf and are to be cared for in familiar surroundings in old age or with increasing frailty. The funding offers a forward-looking perspective by ensuring long-term financial security for the operation of residential-care-nursing communities. Through continuous care and nursing in a barrier-free environment, individual needs are taken into account, enabling a vibrant intergenerational coexistence.
