Funding Projects of the Bergedorf-Bille Foundation

The Bergedorf-Bille Foundation continuously supports neighborhood initiatives in Hamburg-Bergedorf with straightforward grants. Non-profit associations as well as providers of social work and child and youth services can submit project proposals at any time to strengthen social cohesion. Funding is particularly aimed at measures that involve young people and the elderly, promote international understanding, and foster tolerance and participation in neighborhood meeting places. Currently, at 17 open meeting points, this creates space for encounters, networking, and voluntary engagement – from intergenerational workshops to intercultural festivals.

The funding aims to establish sustainable structures for exchange and integration in the Bergedorf districts. A prerequisite for funding is the non-profit status of the applicants as well as a clear project connection to youth welfare, elderly care, or international-mindedness and tolerance projects at the Bergedorf location. The amount of grants depends on the individual needs of the projects and is awarded flexibly within the foundation’s budget. A proof of use must be submitted upon project completion to ensure transparency and efficiency. Interested organizations benefit from the uncomplicated application process without deadline constraints and can thus receive timely support for what is needed locally.
