Description
The Gmahde Wiesn Foundation for Nature, Hunting, and Agriculture (non-profit GmbH) continuously supports projects in animal, nature, and landscape conservation in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. Non-profit organizations, private individuals, companies, interest groups, and other associations may submit grant applications at any time. Funding is provided for measures aimed at preserving species-rich animal and plant communities, connecting habitats, and developing sustainable agricultural and management concepts. Furthermore, educational and public relations work in the environmental sector, energy efficiency, and climate protection projects are eligible for funding. The foundation places particular emphasis on practical approaches – from creating wildlife fields and planting hedges to rescuing orphaned young animals – thereby strengthening awareness of biodiversity and nature-friendly land management.
For a successful application, a fully completed grant application (PDF form) and supplementary project documents are required; after approval, a report on the use of funds must be submitted. The evaluation usually takes place within four weeks after receipt of the complete documents and includes a personal interview. A project may commence prior to the official funding decision if this is notified informally. The Gmahde Wiesn Foundation warmly invites project leaders, initiatives, and associations to submit their innovative and conservation-oriented projects in the southern German region and thus make a valuable contribution to preserving native habitats.
