Funding Guideline Vocational Education – Intercompany Training Courses

The funding guideline Vocational Education – Intercompany Training Courses of the State of Hesse promotes the quality of initial training by supporting intercompany courses at the basic and advanced levels as well as additional qualification and career orientation measures. Providers receive subsidies of up to 60% of eligible expenses at the basic level and up to 50% at the advanced level. Boarding costs related to dormitories are also considered with a flat rate of €8.50 per participant per day. Eligible expenses include course and boarding costs. Thus, the program is aimed at all non-profit educational providers, Hessian chambers of crafts, chambers of industry and commerce, business associations, as well as other organizations and public institutions that wish to qualify trainees from small and medium-sized enterprises and young people in career orientation measures.

A prerequisite for application is the recognition of the courses by the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport, Housing and Rural Areas. The measures at the basic level must apply statewide and be implemented uniformly. Applications for the basic and advanced levels must be submitted by November 15 for the following calendar year, while applications for career orientation measures must be received by the Wirtschafts- und Infrastrukturbank Hessen (WIBank) by January 31 of the respective application year. Submission requires the completed application form and an annual course plan with details on locations, course titles, participant numbers, and budgeted funds. This structured approach creates transparency and contributes to the sustainable strengthening of company-based training in Hesse.
