Funding objective
The Free State of Saxony supports the establishment and work of networks and cooperations outside of EIP-Agri and LEADER with EAFRD funds, in order to improve the collaboration of various actors in Saxony and to expand and strengthen the market position of organically or regionally produced agricultural products.

Description
The funding guideline Knowledge Exchange, Innovations, Networks (FRL WIN/2023) – Part B.II.3 supports the initiation and further development of networks as well as cooperations in Saxony. The goal is to intensify the collaboration of various actors in the field of sustainable agriculture and to strengthen the market position of ecologically or regionally produced products in the long term. Specifically, expenses for the establishment and coordination of cooperations, feasibility studies, surveys, as well as the development and implementation of concepts and strategies are funded. The establishment and further development of existing networks, ongoing cooperation costs, and the implementation of business or management plans are also eligible costs. The maximum project duration is 84 months, and the funding rate amounts to up to 90% of the recognized expenses, with a minimum funding amount of EUR 5,000.
Eligible applicants are legal entities under private and public law, partnerships, as well as natural persons who design new forms of collaboration or expand existing partnerships with innovative activities. The funding location must be predominantly within the Free State of Saxony, and the concept must be designed according to the specifications of the funding call. A cooperation between at least two independent partners must be anchored in a cooperation agreement. For projects related to supply chains or local markets, a positive vote from a specialist committee is also required. The overall financing of the project must be demonstrated at the time of application. The responsible granting authority is the Saxon State Office for Environment, Agriculture and Geology (LfULG), which implements the program on behalf of the Saxon State Ministry for Energy, Climate Protection, Environment and Agriculture (SMUL).
