The funding focus barrier:free of the Jugendstiftung just is aimed at children, adolescents, and young adults in Baden-Württemberg who initiate independent projects in communities, associations, or clubs. The goal is to make various barriers – whether economic (e.g., poverty), social (e.g., discrimination), or physical – visible, raise awareness of their impacts, and subsequently reduce them. The foundation supports this with a financial grant as well as professional guidance during planning and implementation. Applications can be submitted at any time, ensuring flexible and continuous funding.

Eligible for funding are privately initiated projects that are carried by the target group themselves. For the application, the funding guidelines, a completed project application, and later a report on the use of funds must be submitted. In addition, the Jugendstiftung just facilitates contacts with relevant experts and offers materials for public relations. The funding contributes to social cohesion and promotes democratic engagement by encouraging young people to actively engage with inclusion and equal opportunities. Through barrier:free, innovative ideas receive space and support to sustainably overcome barriers and thereby create stronger community ties in the region.
