Description
The Hospice Foundation Pulheim supports complementary activities in outpatient hospice care in North Rhine-Westphalia that go beyond statutory funding. Funding is provided particularly for services related to grief counseling, public events, as well as the educational project “Hospice Goes to School,” in which primary school children can explore questions about dying, death, and grief in a protected setting. The goal of this initiative is to actively support people in challenging life situations and to raise public awareness that farewell and grief are part of the human experience. By financially supporting qualification measures for grief counselors and events related to hospice work, the professional and volunteer work on site is sustainably strengthened. The flexible allocation of funds as a grant enables tailored support for projects in municipalities of the Rhein-Erft district based in Pulheim.
Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations and public institutions active in outpatient hospice services. Applicants include not only hospice services but also grief counselors and volunteers who organize support for the dying and their relatives or independently conduct school and event projects. Requirements for approval include a detailed project description, a plausible cost and financing plan, and proof of non-profit status. Submission of documents is possible on an ongoing basis, allowing initiatives to respond promptly to unforeseen needs. Interested organizations in North Rhine-Westphalia use the continuous application deadline to implement innovative solutions and complementary support services in hospice care, thereby improving quality of life in the final phase of life.
