Funding of Selected Individual Projects (Karl and Charlotte Spohn Foundation)

The Karl and Charlotte Spohn Foundation supports innovative individual projects nationwide in the fields of social affairs, education, as well as initial and continuing training with financial grants. Eligible applicants include private individuals, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions that develop project ideas reflecting the donor intent of Karl and Charlotte Spohn. Applications can be submitted continuously, allowing project initiators to apply for funding at any time. Particular focus is placed on initiatives related to scientific publications, school inclusion programs, or projects supporting blind and deaf individuals.

During the evaluation process, the foundation places the greatest emphasis on the substantive alignment with the donor’s intent, whereby each project idea is assessed individually. Previously funded projects have ranged from the publication of a dissertation on the role of blind judges in criminal proceedings to the equipping and support of schools for the deaf. The foundation thus offers a valuable opportunity to create social value and implement specific educational or social projects. Interested project leaders are invited to present their concepts in detail and explain how they will realize the objectives of Karl and Charlotte Spohn in their initiatives.
