Description

The Hanns Seidel Foundation supports trainees in Bavaria with a monthly scholarship of €300 for a period of up to 36 months. The aim is the financial and ideal support of young professionals in recognized vocational training occupations according to BBiG or HwO, who demonstrate outstanding academic or operational performance as well as proven voluntary commitment. Participants benefit from a broad program of events, including seminars on current topics from politics, society, technology, and personal development, as well as from a vibrant network of like-minded individuals that enables regular meetings at various locations in Bavaria. Selection is based on the criteria of academic or professional achievement and social engagement to strengthen responsible action and democratic participation.

Interested trainees residing or training in Bavaria can apply via the central application portal from April 15 to June 15, 2026. Requirements include a recent performance record with good to very good results as well as proof of voluntary activities (e.g., in fire services, politics, or church organizations). The program is open to all professional fields and offers, in addition to financial support, mentoring, individual counseling, and access to the HSS conference facilities. By combining monthly support with ideal promotion, the foundation fosters the long-term personal and professional development of young people and contributes to the democratic community.
