Description

The ongoing operating cost funding for the AIDS support state associations in Carinthia, Tyrol, and Vienna has been supporting personnel and material costs of non-profit interest groups or other associations since 2012 as a grant program. Only AIDS support state associations that act as competence centers for counseling, testing, prevention, and support in the field of HIV/AIDS are eligible for funding. Under the sponsorship of the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection (Section VI) and based on the General Framework Guidelines (ARR 2014) and the AIDS Act 1993, applications can be submitted continuously. This ensures reliable coverage of central service and educational offerings.

Through financial support, seven regional organizations are enabled to sustainably expand their core tasks in the health and social sectors. Counseling, testing, and prevention are offered in a low-threshold, anonymous, and free manner, while psychosocial care accompanies affected individuals on their individual paths. The goal is to detect and prevent new HIV infections early in order to meet the national and international targets (90-90-90 of UNAIDS by 2030). Continuous funding also strengthens regional networking with health authorities and social institutions, creating synergies and enabling efficient use of resources. Detailed submission documents and deadlines are continuously available to ensure a smooth process.
