Funding of the Albrecht-Graf-von-Goertz Foundation

The Albrecht-Graf-von-Goertz Foundation in Lower Saxony supports community-oriented initiatives and senior citizen work in the municipality of Brunkensen. It intervenes where church, state, or municipal providers reach their capacity limits and strengthens civic engagement for elderly and needy individuals. Priority is given to projects for general senior care in both the church and municipal sectors, sustainable initiatives for the preservation and development of the common good, as well as targeted assistance for seniors in distress. Grants support local volunteer activities that promote social cohesion and help secure the unique local character of Brunkensen in the long term.

Eligible for funding are private individuals, non-profit organizations, and public institutions with an operational or project location in Brunkensen. Applications can be submitted in writing to the foundation board at any time; a support application must be completed and supplemented with a project description including justification as well as bank details. In the selection process, the jury pays attention to alignment with the foundation’s purpose, the concrete benefit for seniors in Brunkensen, and feasibility through local engagement. The uncomplicated awarding of grants enables prompt assistance where it is most urgently needed and significantly contributes to social cohesion on site.
