Description
The state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania supports recognized continuing education institutions under independent sponsorship through the program "General and Political Continuing Education" in accordance with § 6 of the Continuing Education Promotion Act. The aim is to support year-round and continuous open educational offerings that correspond to the values of the Basic Law and the state constitution. Funded activities include seminar series, lecture events, interactive online offerings, workshops, guided exhibition tours, or historical city tours conducted in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Institutions may submit applications at any time and receive a subsidy of up to 90% of eligible personnel and material expenses.
The funding is exclusively aimed at independent sponsors offering general and political continuing education and ensuring the openness of the participant group (excluding measures at all-day schools). For the application, among other documents, the Citizen Fund application form, a detailed project description, an expense calculation, a personnel expense sheet, as well as declarations regarding the prohibition of preferential treatment and the free democratic basic order must be submitted. Accompanying notes on the application process and data protection must be observed. The State Office for Health and Social Affairs Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania coordinates the funding and provides all necessary forms. This initiative strengthens political education and democratic coexistence and provides committed continuing education institutions with sustainable resources for innovative projects.
